Cerec Fillings and Onlays

First, Dr. Limbird removes the decay and old filling material from the tooth. The ceramic filling will be precisely engineered and permanently bonded to your tooth.  Depending on the complexity, the whole procedure will last between one and two hours.

Cerec Crowns

When the health or structure of the tooth has been severely compromised, Dr. Limbird may need to place a crown on the tooth to add strength to the structure of the tooth. The decay and old filling material is removed from the tooth. The crowns will be precisely engineered and permanently bonded to your tooth. The permanent crown will be delivered in one day.

The first step in the process of making a Cerec is to take digital images of the tooth. Dr. Limbird then removes the decay and old fillings/crowns. Once the tooth is prepared and ready for the final restoration, Dr. Limbird designs the restoration using the CAD program. The image from the CAD program is presented to the milling unit, which mills the restoration using diamond coated drills. All of this is accomplished outside of the operatory, while you are relaxing in the dental chair. The restoration is permanently bonded to the tooth in one visit.
